Extra Virgin Olive Oils

Terra Sávia, a dream of preserving land through agriculture came true in 1998. Our first olive trees imported from Tenuta di San Donato in Calenzano, a small village Northwest of Florence embarked us on a memorable farming journey; and our love for nature and wildlife brought us to what matters most: good stewardship of the land and growing quality food.

The first olive harvest was in 2004 and later that same year, we founded Olivino Inc. to produce extra virgin olive oil. Today, Olivino Inc. produces artisan certified organic wines and extra virgin olive oils as well as honey. By combining traditional methods, modern efficiencies and earth-friendly technologies, we bring you the highest quality organic products that minimize the impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Terra Sávia expresses our deepest held values about consumer choices. Olive oil, wine and honey have been essential part of the human diet through the ages. At Olivino these products incorporate the delicate balance between sustainable and responsible farming practices. And most importantly we are devoted to nature and wildlife. That is why we chose predator images for our labels.

Terra Sávia is still a work in progress. As we continue our journey we are still excited and committed to constantly look for new ways to offer products with the least impact on today's shrinking natural resources.

Farming in Harmony with the Land

Our orchard, nestled high in the hills of Sonoma and Mendocino Counties, was created without felling a single native tree in clean air, far from traffic and industry, and with water from our own sources. Off-the-grid, irrigation is assisted by wind and solar. Owls, hawks and snakes keep harmful rodents in check in the orchard while mountain lions, bob cats and coyotes, free to roam the land, maintain nature's delicate balance. Nowadays, this is only possible through a deliberate effort to conserve and protect their habitat. For every orchard acre, 100 acres are kept undeveloped so nature can run its wild course. We consider it a privilege to share the land with the local wildlife.

Integrated farming and limited cultivation help realize this conservation plan. A percentage of our revenues directly support wildlife rescue centers in Mendocino and Sonoma counties. In a world developing too fast for its own good, we see conservation and wildlife preservation as crucial measures against the disappearance of essential things like native flora and fauna, open space, fresh air, clean water and freedom from technological noise.
